Molex issues price increase notice

October 1, 2021

According to supply chain, Molex recently issued a price increase notice to its customers, saying that it will increase the price from October 1.

Molex said in the notice that the company has tried to optimize operating efficiency to reduce the impact of rising external costs, but it is currently unable to withstand the pressure brought about by rising external costs. Therefore, part of the cost increase has to be passed on to some special pricing products.

Molex stated in the notice that it has decided to increase the prices of all special pricing products by at least 7% from October 1, 2021.

In addition, Molex will make the following adjustments to future orders:

  • The new price will take effect on October 1, 2021
  • Orders shipped before October 1, 2021 will be traded at the old price
  • All shipments after October 1, 2021 will be invoiced at the new price.

Molex did not clarify in the notice what is the so-called special pricing product, but said it is updating the price list and will send it to customers.
