According to the Wall Street Journal report citing people familiar with the matter, AMD is negotiating the acquisition of Xilinx, and the value of this transaction may exceed $30 billion.
The report stated that the two companies are discussing an agreement that could be reached as early as next week. Some people say that there is no guarantee that the deal will be reached, especially considering that negotiations were suspended before the recent restart.
So far, a Xilinx spokesperson has refused to accept media requests for comment, and AMD did not immediately respond.
