According to Korean media reports, SK Hynix stated on March 30 that the company's non-memory semiconductor sales in 2019 increased 1.5 times, while sales of memory products fell 33% year-on-year.

Last year, SK Hynix's DRAM sales in 2019 reached 20.3 trillion won (approximately US $ 16.6 billion), a 37% decrease from the same period in 2018, and NAND flash sales were 5.1 trillion won, a 31% year-on-year decline. However, sales of SK Hynix's non-memory business increased from 650 billion won in 2018 to 1.6 trillion won in 2019, an increase of 139%.

In terms of the proportion of total sales, SK Hynix's memory product revenue accounted for 75%, lower than 80% in 2018; the non-memory business's sales share reached 6%, higher than 2% in 2018.

The report pointed out that SK Hynix is currently increasing its investment in non-memory business to ensure stable income when the memory chip market is unstable.
