TSMC denies infringement
In response to the infringement lawsuit filed by Globalfoundries, TSMC officially issued a statement yesterday afternoon stating that all technologies were self-developed and did not infringe the patents of other companies. In addition, TSMC stressed that the allegations of infringement by Globalfoundries are not based on facts.
According to TSMC's statement, as an innovation leader in the field of professional IC manufacturing services, TSMC invests several billion US dollars each year to independently develop world-class advanced semiconductor process technology. It currently has more than 37,000 patents and has been the top 10 invention patent holders in the United States for three consecutive years since 2016.
TSMC also said that it is currently reviewing the content of the lawsuit and will try its best to counterattack in all possible ways to protect its proprietary technology.
