It is expected that the medium and long-term demand for MLCC will increase, and plans to increase the production of MLCC to cope with the increase in demand.
According to Murata, its MLCC production subsidiary Iwami Murata will invest about 5 billion yen (including land acquisition fees). In addition to augmenting the production facilities of the existing plant, a new MLCC plant will begin construction in August 2019, which is expected to be completed by May 2020.
