The ATtiny3217 and ATtiny3216 have two analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that allow the system to implement touch control simultaneously with other analog measurements, and are suitable for sensor applications including capacitive touch interfaces. Of the two ADCs, one ADC can be used for touch signal acquisition with a peripheral touch controller (PTC), while the other ADC can monitor other inputs such as thermistors and pressure sensors, or both ADCs can be used for more Sample different types of sensors quickly. Dual ADCs can be used for simultaneous sampling of analog signals such as voltage and current. In addition, these devices also have hardware-based event systems that enable internal peripheral communications without CPU involvement.

Both devices have built-in safety features that help designers detect and respond to voltage changes or drops, including Power-On Reset (POR), programmable brownout detect (BOD), Voltage Level Monitor (VLM), and Windowed Watchdog Timer (WWDT)). These devices operate up to 5V and offer a 125°C flash type and 32 KB of flash memory.
