On June 14, Avnet officially announced at the Investor Day event in New York that Chris Breslin will replace McBeth as the president of Premier Farnell.
Chris graduated from Fordham University in Bronx, New York, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing. He earned a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Manhattan College and completed a senior management course at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris worked in Arrow Electronics for 14 years, held various management positions, then served as Chief Operating Officer for Crescent Electric Supply Company (one of North America's largest electrical wholesalers) for five years, and significantly increased their operating profit within three years. Chris joined Premier Farnell in July 2014 as a Chief Product Officer and contributed to the globalization of Premier Farnell during his tenure.
When talking about McBeth, the previous president, the chief transformation officer of Avnet, Bartolotta, said: “McBeth led Premier Farnell and brought the team advantage into full play. The business success was very obvious. Thanks to him for his contribution during his work at Avnet.”
