The American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland presented the lifetime achievement award to Ray Stata, co-founder of Analog Devices.
Mr. Stata was one of the co-founders of Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) in 1965. ADI currently has $5.5 billion in revenue and is a leader in the design and manufacture of analog and digital signal processing semiconductors. Mr. Stata has been the CEO and Chairman of the company since the company was founded until 1996 and now serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Chamber President Barry O’Sullivan said: “We stand on the shoulders of people like Ray Stata, whose visionary spirit has turned Ireland into the home of some of the most sophisticated technology in the world today. We pay tribute to his success, and to Analog for their longstanding commitment to Ireland and Irish technological development.”
Mr. Stata stated that he is particularly honoured to have won this award because the Irish business has played a key role in the success of Analog Devices over the past 40 years. “ Not only has Ireland generated a continuous stream of world class innovative products but it has also been a source of extraordinary talent for the corporation worldwide. Our current chief executive, Vincent Roche, and many other key executives and technologist had their start here in Limerick,” he explained.
