The source said that the market demand for new AMOLED smart phones is increasing, and the shortage of NOR Flash may intensify in the second half of the year. In addition, the price of NOR Flash in the Chinese mainland market is higher than the average price in the global market, and the price increase of NOR Flash in the third quarter will be higher than previously expected.
According to previous reports, NOR Flash prices have maintained an upward trend since the first quarter and have risen by 50-60% as of the second quarter. In addition to the demand for AMOLED and TWS earbuds, the main driving force behind the continued price increase also includes 5G base stations and other related equipment applications.
The source also pointed out that the supply of NOR flash memory chips in the third quarter will be about 10% lower than demand and the supply of memory chips will continue to be tight in the next few years.
